Where Meritage Homes is building

Before you sign with Meritage Homes

Builder contracts are the builder’s paper, not the standard Georgia Association of Realtors forms, and they are written to favour the builder. The incentive is usually tied to using the builder’s preferred lender, which means the advertised credit and the rate you are quoted have to be weighed together rather than separately — a rate buydown financed into a higher price is not a discount. Veribas is not affiliated with Meritage Homes; we represent buyers across every builder on this site, which is why we can tell you when one builder’s offer is better than the one you are standing in.

Bring your own agent to a Meritage Homes model home

The agent in the model home works for the builder. A Veribas agent represents you — reading the builder’s contract, checking the incentive against what the same builder is giving elsewhere, and sitting the walkthrough with you. Most builders expect buyer representation and pay it from the sale, so it usually costs you nothing.
